There are two major types of out-of-class support available: our course forum (Piazza Forum) and Office Hours
Course Forum
This class will use a Piazza Forum for most course-related communications, such as posting announcements. It’s also a great forum to ask questions and help your peers in the course. When using Piazza please:
- If you have a general question about an assignment (clarification or general guidance), please first check to see if it’s already been asked / answered and, if not, make a public post.
- If you see a post from a fellow students and you are confident you can provide assistance, please do so!
- Please acknowledge any posts from students or teaching assistants that are helpful to you (a reply or select the “good question”, “good answer”, “good note”, etc.).
- If you have a question specific to your work that requires including details of your individual work that would not be appropriate to share with other students, please do a post to “Instructors”. “Instructors” includes both instructors and teaching assistants and may get the quickest response.
- If you have specific, personal issues, please post to just the instructors(s) (Bill Siever and Jim Feher) or use email. (Piazza is slightly preferred because it helps instructor prioritize class-related communications)
